To the director; among hymns; a psalm of an ode; to David.

1 God, may he pity us, and bless us, to shine his face upon us, and to show mercy on us; 2 to know in the earth your way; among all nations your deliverance. 3 Let [²make acknowledgment ³to you ¹the peoples], O God, let [²make acknowledgment ³to you ¹all peoples]! 4 Be glad and exult, O nations! for you shall judge the peoples in straightness, and [²the nations ³in ⁴the ⁵earth ¹you shall guide]. PAUSE. 5 Let [²make acknowledgment ³to you ¹peoples], O God, let [²make acknowledgment ³to you ¹all peoples]! 6 The earth gave her fruit. May [³bless ⁴us ¹God ²our God]. 7 May [²bless ³us ¹God], and let [⁶fear ⁷him ¹all ²the ³ends ⁴of the ⁵earth]!
